Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Long-term Goal: Write blog every day. P90X. Nutrition. Fit. Live better.
Short-term Goal: No alcohol tonight.

OMG. What is wrong with these animals all of a sudden? Dang cat woke me up at 6am again. I seriously think he just gets bored and likes messing with me. Little brat.

I definitely feel like I worked out yesterday, but I'm not sore or anything. That's nice.

At work by 8am. Wow. That hasn't happened in a while. :)

Coffee and creamer. Cinnamon muffin.

I have so many bug bites on my legs. It is driving me crazy! Itchy. Itchy.

Came in today and no work in the email in-box. Looks like I can go over the P90X menu and work up some plans this morning. Did not get to the first video yesterday, but I did work out for about two hours. I might have died had I tried P90X after all that. Also, have to finish Japan book today. It is almost done, but may have to extend our hotel stays for the first part of our trip. Must figure out where the Kyoto chopstick museum is, and some sake breweries.

Brought my stuff to run at work today. Must stay motivated. It's supposed to rain tonight, so I need to do it on my lunch break. Might go play some tennis at the park tonight. I must lose some of this weight before Japan!!!

Did a job for Katie at work today so she took me and Dave out for lunch. Yummy sushi.

Edamame and two sushi rolls. Water to drink.

Doing good! Will take my lunch home and have it for dinner. Think I'm going to just stay in tonight. Stacy invited me to Radio Radio but I have a feeling it's going to be an early night for me tonight. Especially since friends are coming in this weekend!

Grapes.

Chips and homemade salsa. Cheese and crackers. Brownie (oops).

Went running/walking for 25 minutes. Stopped due to the rain. Starting to get a little sore now. Will be in bed by 10 I'm sure. Sleeeeepy!! Achieved short-term goal!!! No alcohol tonight!

Talked to Yo about our Japan trip. Super excited! Going to get proper yoga clothing tomorrow. May take a class in the afternoon. I need to lose this weight!

Lots of beer and wine. Drunk and broke my own mirror. Craziness. Wait for tomorrow's post.

Tennis Fiascos

Dang cat started meowing like crazy at 6am. Dogs started barking at 7am. I made them wait. Up at 7:20am.

Long-term goal: Write blog every day. P90X. Nutrition. Fit. Live better.
Short-term goal: No beer tonight.

Coffee and creamer. Bagel with cream cheese.
Grapes.

Busy morning at work. A lot of forms came in today, as well as some freelance forms. Can't open the freelance work though due to either file damage or differing software versions. We'll see. I need money!

Getting ready to watch the first P90X video and get familiar with the setup. Will  probably not really start today. Going running with Stacy after work. Then dinner and maybe a game of tennis. Will look at the P90X nutrition menu and hopefully get some ideas. I couldn't get it to open on the mac yesterday. The videos are a little weird. They are borrowed... and pirated I'm sure.

Italian pasta salad. Southwest salad mix. Coke Zero.

Things to do in near future: Clean room, especially closet and drawers. Take apart bed and put in storage if possible. Apply for more jobs in Japan. Get friends to check over resume. Travel shopping. Finish Kyoto portion of Japan book.

Freelance project first proof finished.

Banana. Peanut m&m's.

Checked little ipod music. Ready for run. Updated linked in profile.

That was the hottest hot yoga ever. Sweatin buckets! Feel good though. Spinach salad and pesto garlic bread for dinner. I did have a glass of wine. Only one though... I deserved it. Haha. Then played, or tried to play, tennis for about 30-40 minutes after that. All in all a good day of fit.

Shower and bed. Ahhh.

Beer. And More Beer.

Long-term Goal: Write blog every day. P90X. Nutrition. Fit.
Short-term Goal: Only have one beer tonight.

Work at 9am.

I have not gone grocery shopping yet or cleaned out my house of the "bad stuff" and as I am on a budget, I'm not of a mind to be wasteful. Will go grocery shopping this evening.

Cinnamon muffin and chex mix. Coffee and creamer.

Had to shower in the sink again. Must clean roommates bathroom this evening. Having guests this weekend. Whole house needs cleaned.

Potato salad. Banana. Pineapple.

Let's not lie. A bag of peanut m&ms.

I'm still seriously hungry.

My workout tonight will most likely be tons of cleaning since I have plans tomorrow night now. Running and dinner with Stacy.

Going to the grocery when I get off work. Food. Cleaning supplies. If time later, I might go to Target and start looking for a few travel items for my trip to Japan.

Grocery shopping.

Salsa chips beans cheese sour cream.
Brownie. Corona and lime.

Swept and mopped floors. Cleaned bathroom. Finished laundry. Did dishes. Vacuumed.

Met Benson at the friendly tavern for beer number two. And beer number three. Both Sun King Pale Ale. Yummy. Benson bought. Thanks Benson!

In bed by 11.
Did not reach short-term goal. Had three beers. Must do better.

Amanda's Birthday Party

Fun times with friends and I pulled my neck head-banging with Adam Gordon and Amanda's mom in a drunken fit of 80s dance-off. Awesome. Played some cornhole and passed a frisbee... learned how to pass a frisbee properly.

Toe Twitch

So this is weird. I was sitting watching some Harry Potter when my toe started randomly twitching. Luckily, I was of the mind to grab my iPhone and record it so that it could be shared with the world! It might be a little hard to see in the video, but check out my third toe. Crazy toe. Enjoy.

Fishing and Drinking, Drinking and Fishing

Well, I did not get back on that wagon this weekend. I did drink some chocolate martinis with my parents and go fishing though! I don't know who won smallest fish: me or my mom!

Debacle of the Week

I've had a stern talk with myself this morning about martinis, cocktails, the debacle-ing that ensues, hangovers, and cheese nips for breakfast. And yes, that is all I'll be sharing. What happens in the bottom of my glass, stays in the bottom of my glass. Haha. Not to worry. I didn't do anything bad! The good news is that there will be no more debacle-ing this weekend because I have already spent my fun money budget. Waaa waaa.

I need to form healthier fun habits for my weekends that do not include restaurants and/or bars. It's summer. I should be picnicking. I've had my fun for about three months. Time to get back on that wagon. Dang.

Tonight I Wash the Dogs

Yes, that is my goal for the evening. It's going to be a chore considering they have no clue what is going to happen and I'm pretty sure they've never had a real bath before. Good Lord, please help me endure. I can't stand their greasy little butts anymore though. :)

They will maybe be cute for once instead of dirty. Here are some pictures after I groomed them last time. I only gave them a "fake bath" using that spray cleaning solution stuff they sell at the pet store. It lasted about a day.

I am not bathing the cat, but so he won't feel left out:

Girls and Girls' Nights

One lesson I have learned in the past year is that relationships that need to be cultivated and are the most important are those most easily taken for granted. It's the relationships that you know will not end because they are of that nature of friendship. I love hanging out with my girls on girls night. I have never laughed so hard about nothing in my entire life. So much fun! If I had not been so wrapped up in myself over the last year and in boys for the two years before that, I may have learned this lesson sooner.

"I think if I've learned anything about friendship, it's to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don't walk away, don't be distracted, don't be too busy or tired, don't take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds life and faith together. Powerful stuff." - Jon Katz (Aside: Thank you for your quote Jon Katz. I've never read any of your books [I'm not normally in the market for dog books] but I think I will now. Dogs are fun too.)
